ColoPlus® IMCARE is a dry porridge powder based on bovine colostrum – a natural ingredient containing bioactive proteins and essential nutrients.
ColoPlus products are formulated to slow down and control the time required to empty the stomach, thus prolonging the transit time of bioactive components through the digestive tract. This increases the contact time of the bioactive compounds with the mucosal surface of the gastrointestinal tract and enhances the local immunological response. The survival and resistance of the bioactive components in the GI tract are also increased.
Bioactive immunoglobulins from colostrum are not absorbed by the body when administered orally but remain in the digestive tract, where they exert a local effect. There they attack food- and water-borne organisms that cause disease. ColoPlus® IMCARE is effective in preventing intestinal infections by first preventing bacteria from attaching to the intestinal wall and then destroying them. A systemic effect is achieved through the presence of growth factors, bioactive peptides, and micronutrients. No side effects have been reported.
Prolonged effect. During studies, a prolonged effect of ColoPlus IMCARE was observed for at least four weeks, as CD4+ count increased. This prolonged effect makes ColoPlus IMCARE cost-efficient.
